We run six-week English Literature masterclass blocks each half term, specially designed for Year 10 and 11 students who need extra support with their GCSEs.

These sessions aren’t just about memorising quotes or rushing through content- they’re about building real confidence and giving students the tools to truly engage with their key texts for English Literature GCSE.

We focus on developing a critical understanding of the texts, alongside key skills like language and structure analysis and exam technique. Students learn how to approach questions with clarity, plan effectively, and write thoughtful, well-structured responses that meet the mark schemes.

There’s a strong emphasis on practising exam-style questions in a supportive environment, so students leave each session feeling more prepared, more capable, and more in control.

Each 90-minute session is taught in a small group of no more than six, allowing plenty of individual attention. All sessions are led by fully qualified English teachers who know the curriculum inside out and how to bring the texts to life.

Each half term, we focus on a different part of the Literature course - whether it’s Shakespeare, the 19th-century novel, modern drama, or poetry—so students build skills gradually and with purpose.
